US Secretary of State John Kerry is arriving in Beijing later today. He is scheduled to meet with senior Chinese officials tomorrow to discuss a range of global, regional and bilateral issues, including the nuclear program of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or DPRK.
Topping the agenda reportedly is the potential imposition of international sanctions against the DPRK, following its nuclear test earlier this month.
Kerry is expected to stress the need for a united front on this matter. Regional security issues beyond the DPRK, reportedly will include the South China Sea.
